Our application process is designed to be thorough, transparent, and supportive. Clinical Pastoral Education is formative work, and the application itself is part of that discernment.

Begin by completing your initial registration on our website.

Select the cohort that best fits your schedule. Current options include:
● Mondays at 7:00 PM (Eastern)
● Tuesdays at 7:00 PM (Eastern)
● Thursdays at 11:30 AM (Eastern)
Each cohort follows the same curriculum and expectations; the difference is simply the meeting time.

Choose the upcoming 12-week term to begin your formal application.

After starting your application, you will receive two emails from our program:
● Email 1: Email Verification
Click the verification link to confirm your email address.
● Email 2: Application Access Link
This email contains the link you will use to access and return to your application.
Please save this email for future reference.

When prompted in the application, select "Anam Cara" as your affiliate. This ensures your application is routed directly to our center.

As part of the application:
You will complete a background check
You will receive a code to view your results
Download the background check report and upload it into your application

You will be asked to provide the name, email, and phone number for two references:
● One Faith or Spiritual Leader
● One Personal Reference
When you click "Send," a reference form will automatically be emailed to each reference.

You will upload the following:
● Photo ID
● Transcripts or a photo of your diploma
● Four essays (1–3 pages each):
1. Personal History / Autobiography
2. Spiritual Development
3. A time you provided care or support to another person
4. Your understanding of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE)

Once all sections are complete, submit your application for review.

Our supervisory team will review your materials. If your application moves forward, a supervisor will contact you to schedule an interview.

Following the interview, you will receive one of the following:
● An offer of acceptance
● Notification that our center is not the right fit at this time
If you are not accepted, your registration fee will be refunded.

If accepted:
● Pay your tuition to secure your seat
● If you need to delay enrollment, please notify us immediately so your seat can be offered to another applicant
